to be this happy in new york

This is a picture of my friend Jackie. She's been living in New York for several years, including her years at Fordham University. She's certainly had her fair share of fights with the city, but after talking to her, I realized she has finally reached that happiness point of being comfortable with her job, with herself, and with the place she is living in.

I want to be there soon. I've been so happy with my relationships, with my adventures into New York every weekend, with my family and friends..but I'm hoping I too will make it to the point where everyone I love can be in the same place and I am truly in love with my job. One day. I'm beginning to wonder what it is I can actually see myself doing in five years. I would still love to work at a magazine, be around talented people, take pictures, and travel. Can I do all of the above? Is there an occupation that lists these that is willing to pay me? Because quite honestly, taking school portraits is getting old and boring.
